Thank you to everyone for the special birthday wishes yesterday! Gosh, it feels weird being 33 years old now. I had a wonderful experience with all those who made my birthday special! As my favorite author C.S. Lewis said, "You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream..." I have a lot of dreams, & it's encouraging to know that there's no need to factor in age if it's truly a dream.
It's been a great first month at the Rec Center working out. I even purchased a pair of weight lifting gloves last weekend, that will come in handy! Play-It-Again Sports rocks!
Recently had a wonderful experience performing with my Comedy Odyssey friends for Shreve United Methodist Church in Shreve, OH. They were a wonderful audience, which made it humbling to perform for an Alzheimer's Community the following day. I pretty much had to throw out 75% of my act, which is a bunch of one-liners that I didn't think they would understand. Kudos to Jeff Woodroof, who was also there with me and is more of a Cosby-like comic with storytelling. He was a bigger hit, which I anticipated.
Despite the rain, I'm looking forward to this weekend! I'm also happy to announce the re-tweeking of my website, www.richjonescomedy.com which is still being updated, but I'm loving the new format! It makes it more personal & allows me to share pics from shows & traveling up & down the road. Stay tuned for more updates! I also recently met Impact Wrestling Knockout Christy Hemme who was gracious enough to give me a plug for my comedy! Hoping you guys have a wonderful Thursday!
